Vulcan – a truly innovative German product

Vulcan works exclusively with electronic impulses. The electric oscillation generated by the Vulcan systems lead to an oscillation of matter which spreads axially. Physically, this is a mechanical (acoustic) longitudinal wave or shock wave. The Vulcan water treatment system operates 100% independently of the water flow to provide reliable impulses and guarantee consistent output at all times with an average cost of around £5 per year.

Vulcan is not a Magnetic system and helps to remove biofilm

The biggest difference between the Vulcan electronic descaler and all other descaling units is that it is not magnetic. Magnetic systems are extremely cheap to manufacture and their functionality depends on the water flow within the pipe to generate electricity and are therefore vulnerable to the fluctuations that occur with normal water use. Another problem that results from using magnetism for water treatment is biofilm. Magnets and areas with magnetic fields attract metallic objects, no matter how small. Electronic descalers that use magnetism pull metallic particles to inside wall of the pipe where they collect and form a perfect breeding ground for bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms.

What make the Vulcan system so effective

To cause these processes, the Vulcan system produces over 300 electric alternating field and contain frequencies that lead to resonance oscillations of the water cages. Since all tap water is different regarding the quantity of dissolved minerals, the pH-value and the conductivity, the output of the alternating capacitive impulses are also varied and is not dependant on the flow velocity. The Vulcan water treatment operates  100% independently of water flow to provide consistent output at all times.

The Vulcan uses over 300 precisely calibrated electronic impulses to alter the structure of the minerals in the water. The minerals are still there, but they do not stick to things. Nothing is added to the water, and nothing is taken away. The hardness in water comes from calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) minerals present in natural water. The principle applied to both these minerals is the same, but as an example we will we will focus on the calcium carbonate in this discussion.

Vulcan electronic descalers change the structure of these minerals in the water to an insoluble form so that it flows through and away. It has to create the conditions under which the calcium hydrogen carbonate Ca(HCO3)2 is washed away with the water as a crystal and does not attach to the pipe walls as calcium carbonate crystal CaCO3. Calcium carbonate is not soluble in water, but water containing carbon dioxide (CO2) can form carbonic acid (H2CO3) which reacts with the calcium carbonate to form calcium hydrogen carbonate, Ca(HCO3)2. This simply means that it has to cause the effect that the dissolved lime does not attach in crystalline form to the walls or contact points with the pipes, to devices and fittings in contact with water.There is a fragile balance between calcium carbonate and carbonic acid that determines whether the dissolved form is stable or converts back to an insoluble crystalline form.

The dissolved minerals in hard water have an ionic structure that is disrupted by Vulcan water treatment. The control unit sends out an alternating current with a constantly variable frequency ranging from 3 to 32 kHz. When the frequency resonates with the water molecules that surround the ions of the dissolved minerals, it causes them to break away and frees these ions. This allows the calcium carbonate to reform surrounded by an area of water with less carbon dioxide and with no hard surface to attach to. The wide range of frequencies ensures that resonance is achieved regardless of the variations in water characteristics.

Simple magnetic systems do not perform with such complex electro-chemical processes and are at best ineffective.

Vulcan S250 descaler for Marina Apartments

Costa Marina apartments are in a very hard water area and required a single point solution in the plant room. Vulcan was selected due to its ease of installation with no disruption to the water supply and also for the positive results from a pilot installation. The Vulcan S250 system now protects the water heaters, the piping systems and also a major reduction of limescale in each flat.

Vulcan S100 descaler for Ice Stadium

Installed the Vulcan model S100 anti-limescale system on our premises for a five-month test phase as soon as our ice period began operating in August.
The defined objective was mainly intended for the dumpsters of our two ice resurfacers, which are filled with snow all day long and therefore subject to weekly descaling.
After a few weeks, we noticed that the scale adhered less. This makes it easier to clean our machines, saving us time and products.
The test carried out allowed us to take the time to compare the positive effects of the Vulcan S100 on our installation and that the objective set was achieved.

Vulcan S25 for Super U Supermarkets

Vulcan S25 was installed on the water main to treat the whole building for problems caused by hard water and limescale deposits.

The Vulcan S25 descaler helped to solve the scale problems in the kitchens and bathrooms and also prevented new scale deposits. Noticeable benefits have been observed in the cooking and baking areas especially where chemical use is not permitted. Vulcan also meets the high specification of Super U supermarkets to install eco-friendly products.

Nissan Motors specifies Vulcan S25 descaler

Since Vulcan S25 was installed, the Hyundai Engineering Team has stopped the regular manual cleaning process.
Observation: the flow rate with the Vulcan unit is now even higher than immediately after previous manual cleaning had been done.
After Vulcan S25 had been installed for 6 months, the secondary pipes were opened: scale that had been left in piping had disappeared and all 9 secondary pipes had become clean (see photo).
Observation: Biofilms in the cooling tower had disappeared since the Vulcan unit was installed.
